Terms and conditions

Version 1.0 · updated 5 October 2026

This is a translation provided for your convenience. In the event of any discrepancy, the Portuguese version prevails.

These terms govern the use of the You Announce platform and related services. The service is intended for businesses and professionals acting in the course of their business. By creating an account, you confirm that you have read and accept these terms and the privacy policy.

1. Who we are

You Announce is a service provided from Portugal. The full identification of the responsible entity (legal name, tax number and registered office) appears on the invoice and will be published here before online billing starts.

2. The service

You Announce is a platform that, starting from a conversation, prepares, publishes and monitors advertising campaigns on Google Ads and, once the channel is available on the account, on Facebook and Instagram (Meta), on the customer’s behalf, and prepares organic visibility plans (Google search, Google Maps and artificial intelligence assistants) based on the business’s website and profile. It also offers Assisted Management, in which our team sets up the account and the first campaign with the customer and reviews the campaigns every month.

The features available depend on the plan you choose, as described on the pricing page.

The platform is available in Portuguese, English, Spanish and German. Ads can be written in any of these languages.

3. Account

  • You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity on your account.
  • The information you give us about your business must be true and up to date.
  • A business account corresponds to one business; plans set how many campaigns and ad accounts (per platform) you can manage. An agency account groups the businesses the agency manages for third parties.

4. Prices, payment and cancellation

  • Plans have a fixed monthly or annual price, shown excluding VAT; VAT is added at the legal rate.
  • Payment is processed by Stripe and charged automatically at the start of each period, which renews automatically.
  • Free trial: plans (except Assisted Management) include 14 days free, once per business, counted from the day the first ad goes live and at most 30 days after you add your card. We email you at least 7 days before the first charge. If you cancel during the free trial, you pay nothing.
  • You can cancel at any time in the billing area. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid (during the free trial, immediately); there is no lock-in and there are no penalties. When the plan ends, live ads are paused.
  • The Assisted Management setup fee covers work carried out at the start and is non-refundable.
  • We may change prices with 30 days’ notice; the change applies from the following period.

5. Advertising budget

The money spent on ads is paid by the customer directly to Google, through their Google Ads account and the payment method set up there. You Announce does not receive, advance or intermediate that budget, and charges no percentage on it. The customer is responsible for any payments due to Google.

Likewise, for ads on Facebook and Instagram, the money is paid by the customer directly to Meta, through their Meta ad account.

On TikTok, the money is paid by the customer directly to TikTok, through their TikTok ad account.

6. Google Ads accounts

  • You can link an existing Google Ads account to the You Announce manager account, or ask us to create a new account for your business.
  • In both cases, the account belongs to the customer. You can remove our access at any time; when the contract ends, we help transfer the management.
  • Use of Google Ads is also subject to Google’s terms and advertising policies.

7. Meta accounts (Facebook and Instagram)

  • Once the channel is available on your account, you share your ad account and your Facebook Page with the You Announce Business Manager as a partner. We do not store your password or get access to your personal Facebook account.
  • The ad account and the Page belong to the customer, who can remove our access at any time in Meta Business Suite.
  • Use of Meta is also subject to Meta’s terms and advertising policies.

8. TikTok accounts

  • Once the channel is available on your account, you authorise You Announce on the TikTok for Business page. We store the access TikTok gives us, encrypted; never your password.
  • The ad account belongs to the customer, who can withdraw the authorisation at any time on TikTok.
  • The videos you upload must be yours or have the permission of whoever made them and of whoever appears in them, including the music.
  • Use of TikTok is also subject to TikTok’s terms and advertising policies.

9. Google business profile

  • If you connect your Google business profile, you authorise You Announce to read the profile, the reviews and the profile figures, to use that data for your business within You Announce and, when you ask (or, for the weekly updates on paid plans, on its own), to publish replies to reviews, updates and the suggested description, and to link the profile’s locations to your Google Ads account. You confirm you have the right to manage that profile.
  • Suggested replies and updates are written with artificial intelligence; review them before publishing.
  • You can disconnect the profile at any time: You Announce removes the access on Google and deletes what it stored. Use of the profile is also subject to Google’s rules.

10. Refer a business

  • Each account has a link to refer other businesses. When a business that signed up through that link pays its first invoice with an amount, both receive a credit equal to one month of each one’s plan (with no plan, one month of Starter, to use when choosing a plan), taken off the following invoices.
  • Whoever refers receives at most 12 credits a year. Credits cannot be exchanged for cash, do not count the client’s own referrals and may be cancelled in case of abuse.

11. Measurement and autopilot

  • If you place the You Announce tag on your site, it measures the visits that come from ads, the contacts and the purchases, and sends them to the ad platforms connected to your account. In this processing, the customer is the controller of the data of their site’s visitors and You Announce processes it on their behalf (processor, Article 28 GDPR): only to measure and improve the customer’s ads and to show them again to people who already visited the site from them (remarketing: the platform of the click receives the visit, with no other data), without visitors’ names, emails or phone numbers, and deleted after 13 months.
  • The tag only measures after the visitor accepts, in the tag’s own notice or, if you choose so, in your site’s cookie notice; in that case, the customer guarantees that their notice asks for that consent.
  • By connecting Stripe, you give You Announce read-only access to sales, to count them as ad results.
  • The autopilot changes published ads within the limits described in the app, without raising the budget; each change is recorded and can be undone for 14 days. You can switch it off at any time.

12. Virtual sales assistant and contacts

  • The virtual assistant replies to people who arrive through the client’s ads, business page or QR code, using the information the client teaches it. The client is responsible for that information (services, prices, opening hours, terms) being correct and up to date. The assistant must not make up prices or promise anything the client has not written, but it can make mistakes: the client reviews what it teaches and tries the chat before switching it on.
  • The chat says in its first message that it is a virtual assistant, an automated system, and not a person.
  • The data people leave in the chat (messages, answers and the contact details the client chooses to ask for) belong to the client, who is the controller; You Announce processes them on the client’s behalf, as a processor (Article 28 GDPR), only to show them to the client, notify them and, if the person accepts measurement, count the contact as a conversion on the ad platforms.
  • If the client asks for sensitive data (for example, health data), the client warrants that it may process it; the chat asks for the person’s explicit consent, that data is stored encrypted and is never sent to artificial intelligence.
  • Chats with written replies have the plan’s monthly limit; once it runs out, the chat carries on with buttons and contacts keep arriving. The client can switch the assistant off, export and delete contacts at any time.
  • On the free plan, the assistant writes replies in one chat a day; the next ones carry on with buttons and contacts keep arriving. Chats on the free plan show “Assistant made with You Announce”.
  • The client can put the chat on their website through the measurement line; in that case, the client ensures their website informs visitors as the law requires (cookies and privacy).

13. Approval and ad content

  • No campaign is published without the customer’s express approval. Budget changes and removals also require the customer’s action.
  • The customer is responsible for the accuracy of the information about their business (services, prices, promotions, qualifications) and for complying with the law applicable to their activity.
  • We may refuse or suspend content that breaches the law, the Portuguese Advertising Code or the advertising policies of Google or Meta.
  • Photos you upload for ads must be yours, or you must have permission to use them, and they must not show people without their consent.
  • You Announce does not accept political advertising.
  • The business page You Announce publishes for customers without a website (at /b/…) shows what the customer puts on it: the texts, photos and contact details are the customer’s responsibility, and we may take it offline if it breaks the law or these terms. It goes offline whenever the customer wants, or with the account.

14. Professionals and agencies

  • The plans for professionals and agencies are intended for managing the advertising of third-party businesses. Each client business counts as one client on the plan.
  • The agency account holder declares that they are authorised by each client to create and publish campaigns on the client’s behalf, to link or create the client’s ad accounts (Google Ads and, when available, Meta) and to share the necessary information with us.
  • Each business’s ad accounts belong to that business. The agency may keep its own manager account linked.
  • The agency’s client can view and approve a campaign, or request changes, through a link without an account; publishing still requires action by the agency.
  • We do not contact an agency’s clients to offer them our services.
  • For the personal data of its clients that the agency enters into the platform, You Announce processes it on the agency’s behalf, as a processor (Article 28 of the GDPR).

15. Artificial intelligence

Part of the work (understanding the conversation, writing text, suggesting search terms) is done by artificial intelligence systems, which identify themselves as such. Their proposals may contain errors, which is why they are always shown to the customer before publishing and, at this stage, also reviewed by our team.

16. Results

Advertising depends on factors beyond our control (competition, price, website, response times). We do not guarantee any number of enquiries, sales or any return. Visibility plans are recommendations: we do not control the order of Google’s results or the answers of artificial intelligence assistants, and we do not guarantee rankings. We undertake to build and monitor campaigns, and to prepare the plans, with diligence and transparency.

17. Intellectual property

The platform, its code and the You Announce brand belong to us. The content of the customer’s campaigns and the information about their business belong to the customer, who grants us the licence needed to use them in providing the service.

18. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for damages related to the service is limited to the amount paid by the customer in the 12 months before the event. This limitation does not apply to wilful misconduct or gross negligence, nor to damages that the law does not allow to be limited.

19. Suspension and termination

We may suspend accounts for non-payment, abusive use or breach of these terms, with prior notice whenever possible. The customer can delete their account at any time in the settings.

20. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes are notified by email 30 days in advance.

21. Languages and governing law

These terms are governed by Portuguese law. The English, Spanish and German versions are translations; in the event of any discrepancy, the Portuguese version prevails. Any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the court of the district of You Announce’s registered office, without prejudice to mandatory rules to the contrary.
